Create a Constellation

Create a Constellation is an interactive installation enjoyed by all ages, created for the Adler Planetarium’s Chicago’s Night Sky Exhibit in partnership with Angle Park. Guests are first presented with a random image of a real star field. They can draw on the image, either by connecting the stars, or drawing free-hand to create their own constellations.

Once complete, the constellation launches from the touchscreen and onto the projection, which represents the greater night sky. The image lingers on the projection long enough for guests to snap a selfie or an instagram. Additionally, the kiosk sends guests their image via SMS or email.
